Primary Lac Ste. Anne County Social Media Channels
facebook.com/lsacounty
Facebook is a widely-used platform in rural Alberta. Not surpisingly, Facebook is also the most popular of the County's social media channels. News updates, events and job opportunities are routinely cross-posted to Facebook from the County website. The County also reviews and responds to ratepayer messages on Facebook as resources allow.
instagram.com/lsacounty
The County's Instagram channel is rapidly gaining in popularity. It's a great place to explore images and short sound bites from different County departments, or to post images of your own with the #lsacounty hashtag. Lost your dog? Mug shots and identification notes appear on the Instagram channel as soon as dogs are found by an Enforcement Officer.
YouTube
Custom channel pending
From time to time, the County and its departments produce video content of interest to different audiences and age groups. You'll find a growing archive of this content on the County's YouTube channel. Fun fact: as soon as this channel hits 100 subscribers, it will qualify for a custom channel name. Be sure to click Subscribe when you visit!
twitter.com/lsacounty
Twitter is known for creating unrestricted channels of clear, concise communication. It's a great way to keep up to speed on County matters as they happen. Whenever the County posts important news, a shorter snippet (280 characters) will also be posted to its Twitter channel. If you follow the County on Twitter, this news will automatically appear in your feed!
linkedin.com/company/lacsteannecounty
LinkedIn is still the de-facto business-related social platform. As such, the County's LinkedIn channel contains general organizational and contact information, as well as media releases, job opportunities, and posts in text and video format. It's a good way to get some good baseline information about Lac Ste. Anne County.
Zoom
Address varies by session
The County has begun to host virtual public hearings and Council sessions due to COVID-19 restrictions, and Zoom is its vidoconferencing platform of choice. Zoom is free to use, and works on all browsers, devices and operating systems. When the County advertises a virtual meeting, it will include a link to the Zoom session, plus any login credentials you need.
