Lac Ste. Anne County owns and operates three campgrounds, plus an outdoor education centre. Use the navigtion below to explore these special seasonal County facilities in greater detail.

Campgrounds open each year on May 15 June 1 (opening one month late due to COVID-19). For reservations, please contact the Campground Caretaker directly via the information below beginning June 1 at 9:00 am. During the regular off season (September 30 through April 30), please call the Administration Office at 780.785.3411 during regular business hours.

2020 Camping Season Date Changes

Due to public safety concerns and provincial restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, County-owned campgrounds, parks and public spaces opened later than usual in 2020. Please note that reservations have opened effective June 1, 2020. Reservations can be made by calling the respective caretaker(s) of the facility you wish to visit.

The Lessard Lake Public Campground and Paddle River Dam Campground (Peter’s Pond) opened to seasonal patrons June 1. Effective June 5, these campgrounds will also open to overnight patrons June 5th and finally that Paddle River Dam Campground (Boat Launch) is tentatively set to open to overnight patrons June 12. 

No seasonal patrons are allowed in the Boat Launch loop.

Please note thst the Sangudo Riverside Campground has been leased to Deep Creek Camping and Events for operations for the 2020 season. Campers are asked to direct any reservation inquiries to Deep Creek Camping and Events at 780.204.0497.

Lessard Lake Campground

This pet-friendly resort has tons of amenities, including 30-amp electrical service, water hook-up, sani-stations, washrooms with flush toilets, coin-operated showers and laundry, a nearby boat launch and fish-cleaning stand, and an onsite caretaker.

Lessard Lake Education Centre

Close to the popular Lessard Lake Public Campground, the Lessard Lake Outdoor Education Centre features a main lodge with a spacious, appliance-filled kitchen, chairs, tables, and a loft area overlooking the stone fireplace on the main floor.

Paddle River Dam Campground

The well-loved Paddle-River Dam Campground is home to a spectrum of outdoor opportunities including fishing, boating, hiking and wildlife viewing. Pack your gear, bring your camera and get ready for an outdoor adventure in the heart of Alberta.
