Public Hearing and Open House Protocols

Attending a Hearing in Person

In consideration of provincial COVID-19 indoor gathering restrictions, Council chambers can accommodate up to 25 seated attendees without masks in a socially distanced layout. If more than 25 people attend the hearing, masks must be worn by everyone within the Council Chambers. A maximum capacity of 50 attendees will be allowed inside Council chambers.

If you plan on attending a meeting in person, please be prepared to wear a mask and practice all standard COVID-19 social distancing protocols. These protocols are clearly posted at the County Administration Office.

Attending a Hearing via Zoom Videoconference

In certain instances, the County hosts meetings both in-person and via Zoom (a free online videoconferencing platform) to facilitate the option of remote attendance and presentation. Please refer to the details  that accompany a given public hearing notice for specific instructions on Zoom login credentials and meeting protocols.

County Minute: Planning & Development

"The development process can be frustrating, but I know that the vast majority of the people that deal with the County are pleased with what goes on. But if you feel things are taking too long, please get hold of your Councillor and we'll try and make things right. We want development here."
