Snowplow Flag Program
Opt-in snow removal service for landowners
Any property owner or occupant within County boundaries can request private driveway clearing following a snowfall.
Please note that County-issued snowplow flags can now be purchased digitally (the County no longer sells actual flags). To participate or for further information, please contact the County Administration Office.
Not All Roads in the County Are Ours
When the snow flies, the phone lines light up at County reception without fail. It pays to keep in mind that many roads in the County are the domain of the Province.
The County maintains range roads, township roads and subdivision roads. After a snowfall event, our Public Works crews begin to clear these corridors quickly, safely, and in accordance with standard County procedures.
While our crews are busy maintaining County-managed roadways, we trust that Alberta Transportation crews are also working to clear the provincial highways under their responsibility.
