Ross Bohnet was born and raised in southern Alberta. Having settled in the Mayerthorpe area in 1983 – he and his wife Lana raised two children on their slice of cowboy paradise.

His passions and pastimes include ranching, rodeo, and roping. Ross owned and operated a cattle hauling business for many years before selling in 2012.

He’s an advocate for youth in 4-H and the Alberta Barrel Racing Association and has served on the Mayethorpe Ag Society for many years.

Ross doesn’t leave his cowboy ways behind when it comes to Council. He’s used to working hard to get a job done, not taking anything for granted, and finishing what he starts. He is enthusiastic in his role on the Agricultural Service Board and Lac Ste. Anne Foundation.
