Effective Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Lac Ste. Anne County will begin removing the large household waste bins from Lessard Lake Estates. The bins were put in place as part of the re-entry plan for property owners to utilize during the recovery process due to the May 5 wildfire that impacted the subdivision. To reduce the burden of hauling household waste and other debris; these bins have served the purpose that the County intended.

It is expected that the upcoming May long weekend will bring those who have not yet had the chance to attend their properties to begin their clean-up processes. As such, the bins will remain in place to accommodate this.

Upon the removal of these bins after the Victoria Day long weekend, local waste disposal options include:

  • the Cherhill Transfer Station, located at 56021 Rge Rd 53A, visit LSAC.ca/waste for hours of operation as well as other County transfer station locations; and
  • the Regional Landfill site, located at 55228 Rge Rd 35, open Monday through Saturday for larger loads, visit hwy43east.ca for more information.
