A land use bylaw is required for every municipality across Alberta. This includes the division of the municipality into land use districts (zones).

The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) is the rulebook for development in Lac Ste. Anne County, and covers a wide range of regulations, including:

  • Establishing the development permit process and the process for redesignation (rezoning) and land use bylaw text amendments
  • Regulating the size and use of land and buildings
  • Classifying land use districts (zones) and determining minimum development standards for each district
  • Granting of appropriate permitted and discretionary uses for each land use district

Land Use Bylaw Amendments

As the County's Land Use Bylaw is put into practice, the County periodically reviews its regulations and brings forward amendments for Council consideration and enactment. All amendments to Land Use Bylaw 22-2017 are listed below.
