The County's transfer station card program makes access to solid waste services easy and equitable. The cards comply with barcode scanners, allowing site operators to quickly approve valid cards, as well as invalidate non-County and expired cards.

County residents wishing to dispose of household waste at any of our eight transfer stations or the Hwy 43 East Regional Landfill site must present their transfer station card, in addition to a valid, government issued piece of photo identification to the site operator.

Replacing Lost Cards or Getting a New Set

If you're a Lac Ste. Anne County property owner and have not received your transfer station cards, please inform the County Administration Office.

If you've lost your transfer station card, you can purchase a new one from the County Administration Office for $20.00.

To activate your transfer station cards, a completed solid waste activation form is required. Submit your completed form to the County via regular post or email. Once both your utility fee and your solid waste activation form are processed, your transfer station cards will be activated within five business days.

Please note some exemptions may apply to the solid waste utility if:

  • You are a resident of Sangudo;
  • You have contracted a third-party waste hauler which has a bin located on your residence in the County; or
  • You pay the solid waste fee on your primary property, but own an additional property that is unoccupied.

For details regarding these exemptions and whether they apply to you, please contact the County Administration Office.

I am a tenant of a property in the County. How do I get a transfer station card?

The landlord of your rented property must complete a Solid Waste Utility Activation Form assigning you as the transfer station card user.
