While the regional landfill is located within our municipal boundaries, the County neither owns nor manages this facility. Please contact the Highway 43 East Waste Commission directly.

The commission's focus is on the operation of its regional landfill near the Hamlet of Gunn. Costs for regional solid waste & recycling services are shared by the County; the Village of Alberta Beach; the Towns of Mayerthorpe and Onoway; and 12 Summer Villages.

Can't make it to the landfill? Visit one of the County's transfer stations instead.

The County operates transfer stations at 8 convenient locations. When dropping off residential waste, please be ready to show photo identification, plus your valid transfer station card.

If you're a town, village or summer village resident, the Hwy 43 East Regional Landfil is your only option.
