County staff collect cash and items for local food banks, stepping up to help those in the local community.

In a shared commitment to make a positive impact, County staff collected items over the course of a 12 day challenge. Lac Ste. Anne East Food Bank (Onoway) & Mayerthorpe Food Bank were each given a $475.00 cash donation, plus four boxes loaded with foodstuffs, and one box sundry items.

Supporting the local Food Bank is an excellent way to get involved in helping the community. While non-perishable goods are crucial, financial contributions allow these organizations to adapt to dynamic challenges and procure fresh produce, showcasing the foresight of County staff in addressing community needs.
