In Focus: Council Cuts Utility Fee

In Focus Fee ReductionDuring the Council meeting on August 25, 2016, County Council put in place a 50 % subsidy program for 2016 Solid Waste Utility costs. County residents will see their September bill go from $215.00 to $107.50 for the 2016 year of service.

Following the receipt of comments from many residents, Council felt that a subsidy was reasonable in the first year of the Solid Waste Utility program to help residents of Lac Ste. Anne County adjust to the full cost of this service. The Solid Waste Utility created in the spring of this year...

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
