Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League
The Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League consists of our League Commissioner, Bruce Loughridge and a representative from 8 communities including Alberta Beach, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, Anselmo, Darwell, Onoway, Rich Valley, Sangudo and Wabamun.
The County's Community Services department provides in-kind administrative support to the league which includes creating game and tournament schedules, reviewing team rosters, organizing meetings and general coordination. May and June are very busy months as hundreds of children participate in this low-cost recreational activity.
Our league succeeds thanks to volunteers who donate their time to the youth in their communities.
Our league is successful largely in part to the many volunteers that donate their time for the youth in their communities. Thank you to our League Commissioner, community representatives, coaches, managers and umpires. We couldn't do it without you!
Minor Softball League Registration
Online registration and registration nights are now taking place in communities across the County. See below for registration dates, times and participating communities.
This co-ed league’s 2024 regular season will run April 29 – approximately mid-June, and will include a playoff tournament.
Please remember that this is a FUN league. Fair play and sportsmanship are encouraged.

Age Categories
The Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League offers a program for all ages. Please see below for age categories.

U5 for players born in 2019, 2020, 2021 (No formal games scheduled)

U7 for players born in 2016*, 2017, 2018 (some communities accept younger participants)

U9 for players born in 2015*, 2016*

U11 for players born in 2013, 2014, 2015*

U13 for players born in 2011, 2012

U15 for players born in 2009, 2010

U18 for players born in 2006, 2007, 2008
*Age overlap within the U7/U9/U11 categories allows for flexibility based on each player’s previous experience. Category placement for overlap is at the discretion of each community.
