  • Information Sharing: Updating Council on local non-profit initiatives, regional projects, or community events.
  • Requesting Action or Support: Proposing community projects, requesting municipal funding, or seeking Council endorsement.
  • Providing Input: Sharing feedback or expert perspective on County policies, services, or local developments.

What Is a Council Presentation?

A presentation (or "delegation") is a formal appearance before County Council during an open meeting. Presenting allows you to directly address Council members and Senior Administration on matters affecting Lac Ste. Anne County.

Common reasons to present include:

  • Information Sharing: Updating Council on local non-profit initiatives, regional projects, or community events.
  • Requesting Action or Support: Proposing community projects, requesting municipal funding, or seeking Council endorsement.
  • Providing Input: Sharing feedback or expert perspective on County policies, services, or local developments.

How the Process Works

  1. Submit Your Request: Complete the Request for Presentation to Council form and submit any supporting documentation at least 8 business days prior to your desired meeting date.
  2. Agenda Confirmation: The Executive Assistant will review your request and confirm your scheduled meeting date. Your presentation topic and submitted materials will be included in the public meeting agenda.
  3. Present Your Topic: Delegations are allocated 15 minutes total. Present your main points clearly, leaving a few minutes for Council members to ask clarifying questions.
  4. Council Consideration: After your presentation, Council will determine the appropriate next steps. Council may make an immediate decision, request additional information, or schedule further discussion at a future meeting.
