About Bo

Born and raised in Edmonton, Councillor Bo Knysh relocated to the Alberta Beach area in 1991. Married since 1982, he and his wife, Leann, raised their two sons locally—who now raise their families in the area, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the County and its residents.

Councillor Knysh brings strong leadership experience from the private sector and small business ownership. His career includes senior roles with All Weather Windows and Pacesetter/Qualico Homes, where he gained experience in human resources, land development, residential construction, project management, and planning. Since 2011, he has owned and operated a vacation rental cottage resort and RV park in the County.

With deep community roots, Bo and his wife have supported numerous local organizations, including the Alberta Beach Library, Alberta Beach and District Museum and Archives Society, and Onoway Minor Hockey. On Council, he is focussed on supporting a strong, vibrant community for residents and local businesses alike.
