It’s a little late, but too good not to share. Local fire stations were out in full force this Halloween, joining community events and helping make Halloween evening safe and enjoyable for families. Firefighters handed out treats, supported neighourhood gatherings, and even constructed haunted houses!

East Station and Station 6 Haunted Houses were a screaming success this Halloween — delighting (and frightening!) trick-or-treaters who braved the eerie experience. While Stations 4 and 7 joined forces in Sangudo to transform that station into their smoke-filled Haunted Fire Hall.

Station members went above and beyond to decorate and staff incredible haunted houses, transforming their facilities into a maze of ghosts, goblins, and all things that go bump in the night. These dedicated firefighters donated countless hours of their own time to bring the event to life — and to make sure every visitor left with a smile and a treat for braving the fun.

Station 5 participated in Darwell Ag Society's Annual Trunk or Treat event October 25th and then set up a couple of treat stops to connect with local families, handing out goodies on Halloween evening.

“Our firefighters love any chance to connect with the community,” said Deputy Fire Chief Brent Sanderson. “Whether handing out candy or hosting a haunted house, our goal is to build trust and strengthen community connections.”

Events like these highlight the dedication of our Fire Services team, whose spirit of volunteering extends far beyond emergency response. Whether responding to calls, promoting fire safety, or putting on events like this, these members truly embody what community service is all about.

“Our firefighters love any chance to connect with the community —whether handing out candy or hosting a haunted house, our goal is to build trust and strengthen community connections.”
Brent Sanderson, Deputy Fire Chief, Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who stopped by, showed their support, and made LSACFS community events a memorable success. These stations are already looking forward to next Halloween — with a few new scares up their sleeves!
