Property Tax Deadline Approaching
Plan ahead for June 30
With the June 30 Property Tax Payment Deadline quickly approaching, the County is reminding residents to plan ahead.
Avoid last-minute online tax payments
Please keep in mind:
- Online banking payments are processed through financial institutions and are not received by the County immediately.
- Processing times vary and can take a few business days.
- Payments submitted close to the deadline may not be received by the County and posted to your tax account before the due date.
- Late payment penalties will apply to amounts not received by the June 30 deadline.
- To avoid unnecessary stress or penalties, residents are encouraged to pay early and allow extra time for processing.
If you have questions about your property taxes or available payment options, please contact the County Administration Office.
Please note that the County’s Property Tax & Assessment Notices were mailed Thursday, May 7 and are deemed received after 7 days.
To avoid potential late penalties, residents are encouraged to use alternate payment methods such as online banking, online via the County's secure payment gateway, or in-person at the County Administration Office — including an after-hours drop box (cheques or money orders only). If you’ve recently mailed a payment or are awaiting your tax notice, please contact the County to confirm receipt or request digital copies.
Assessment Review Process and Deadlines
The Assessment & Taxation department is currently assisting with a high number of assessment-related questions. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as staff work diligently to respond to inquiries in the order they are received. Please note that the County may not be able to respond to all inquiries by June 30.
Property owners who believe their property value may be inaccurate are encouraged to submit a formal Assessment Complaint. Filing a complaint ensures your concerns are reviewed through the legislated process and preserves your right to an independent review, regardless of inquiry response times.
Information about the Assessment Complaint process is available on our website’s Assessment & Taxation page. The complaint form and supporting resources can be downloaded directly from there.
