Lac Ste. Anne County Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Mitchell as its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective Monday, January 12, 2026. Ms. Mitchell has been appointed under a five-year term, supporting long-term administrative stability as Council advances their strategic vision.

With extensive experience in senior municipal leadership, Mitchell offers a proven record in effective municipal management, with expertise in strategic and business planning, policy development, marketing and communications, resource allocation, human resource management, and working collaboratively with community stakeholders.

Mitchell’s credentials include a B.A. from Lakehead University and a Master certificate in Municipal Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University, as well as a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads University, which focussed on local government in Canada.

Reeve Jurgen Preugschas welcomed the appointment, noting the importance of effective leadership and good governance.

Mitchell, grateful for the opportunity, stated, “I am extremely pleased to be joining Lac Ste. Anne County. This is a community with strong values and great potential, and I look forward to leading the organization as we implement Council's vision and priorities for the community.”

Council and administration extend their appreciation to Interim CAO Trista Court for her leadership during the transition period and thank residents for their continued engagement as the County moves into this new chapter of leadership.
