It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Lt. Tyler McCoy, a cherished member of our fire department and community. Lt. McCoy passed away on January 13 at the age of 38.

While not in the line of duty, Lt. McCoy's unwavering commitment, bravery, and selflessness will forever be remembered. A firefighter is more than a responder in emergencies; they are a beacon of hope, a protector of the community, and a source of strength for all of us. Lt. McCoy embodied these values with exceptional dedication and pride.

For 17+ years, Lt. McCoy served our community with honour, skill, and a profound sense of duty. Beyond uniform, he was a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration to many. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the legacy of courage and compassion will live on in all who knew him.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Lt. McCoy's family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort in the support and love of those around them.
