Local non-profit organizations, clubs, and community groups are invited to take part in the County’s annual roadside clean-up program—an opportunity to give back to your community while raising funds for your organization.

In partnership with the annual Alberta Highway Clean-Up, the County is coordinating clean-up efforts on selected municipal roadways. This initiative helps keep our roadsides clean, protects the natural environment, and fosters community pride across the region.

The 2026 clean-up will take place on Saturday, May 2, with a rain-out date scheduled for May 9. A total of seven (7) locations throughout the County have been identified for this year’s program. Participating groups will be assigned a section of roadway and will receive $200 per mile cleaned (both sides of the road) upon completion. Garbage bags will be supplied by the County; however, groups are responsible for bringing their own approved safety gear, including high-visibility vests.

This is a great opportunity for local groups to support a cleaner environment while earning funds to support programs, events, or community initiatives.

Groups interested in participating are asked to submit a letter of interest including:

• Group name

• Division

• Contact name

• Phone number

Please submit your application by email to [email protected] no later than April 30 at 12:00 p.m.

For more information, or to discuss participation details, please contact the County’s Public Works department.
