Fire Advisory Now in Effect
Effective Friday, May 1, 2026 until further notice
Due to a fire hazard rating of VERY HIGH, Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services has issued a Fire Advisory.
The Fire Advisory is effective as of 11:00 am on May 1, 2026. This advisory will remain in place until further notice.
Permits & Restrictions
- Large Burns: The County will NOT authorize any new Fire Permits for large-scale burning at this time.
- Small Burns: May be considered on a case-by-case basis. These require prior approval and an inspection by your Fire Guardian.
Fireworks Prohibited
The use of fireworks is strictly prohibited during a Fire Advisory, Restriction, or Ban.
What is Currently Allowed?
The following activities are permitted, provided users exercise extreme caution and follow safety protocols:
- Permit requests for small burns that can be conducted and concluded within a day, with adequate safety precautions, site preparation to reduce the risk of running grass or vegetation fires, and adequate extinguishing methods as observed by a Fire Guardian.
- Transfer Stations – burning only allowed in the morning with extinguishment by noon on any day.
- Burning Barrels – Constantly monitored with site preparation to reduce the risk of running grass or vegetation fires
- Cooking or warming campfires in acceptable fire pits
- Wood or gas-fired external appliances (BBQs, Smokers, etc)

Safety & Reporting
We urge all residents to monitor fires more frequently and ensure enhanced extinguishing methods are ready for immediate use.
To report a wildfire: Call 9-1-1 immediately. Please provide the exact location (legal land description or street address) to assist Fire Services personnel in responding promptly.
