The County's Planning & Development department mailed out the 2025 Business Licence invoices and renewal forms on October 31, 2024.

To take advantage of the County’s Small Business Sub-Class for a reduced property tax rate, businesses must submit the completed renewal form and payment by February 28, 2025. This program offers eligible small business property owners the opportunity to benefit from a lower tax rate.

To qualify, the business licence renewal form must be fully completed and submitted via mail, email, or fax, along with payment, by the February 28 deadline. Blank forms or forms with incomplete information will not be accepted. A sample document outlining tax implications related to the reduced property tax rate was included in renewal packages for reference.

Once received, your renewal application will be reviewed by the Assessment & Taxation department. If you qualify for the reduced property tax rate, a confirmation letter will be mailed to you.

Failure to submit the required form and payment by the deadline will result in ineligibility for the reduced tax rate and may lead to enforcement action if the business operates without a valid licence.
