Along with new Council and leadership, some changes are underway. The County is updating its budget process to better reflect a commitment to openness and transparency.

Beginning this month, budget discussions will be held as open public meetings, allowing residents to observe the process, gain insight into municipal decision-making, and better understand how budget priorities are set.

The first open budget meeting will take place Wednesday, February 11. While the notice period is short, the County welcomes anyone who is able to attend. A second open budget meeting is already scheduled for next month — on Friday, March 20, providing additional opportunities for public engagement.

Residents and stakeholders are welcome to attend in person, join online using the meeting link, or watch via livestream.

This change is part of a broader effort to strengthen public trust, improve communication, and ensure residents have greater visibility into municipal operations. Thank you for your understanding, and our apologies for the short notice.
