Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services received the request for support in Jasper on the evening of Wednesday, July 24, as fire conditions worsened dramatically with structures and critical infrastructure within the town in immediate danger.

LSACFS deployed an Engine crew of five and a Tactical Tanker crew of two from East Station and Station 6. Crews comprised members from East Station, Station 5, and Station 6.

These members selflessly volunteered and answered the call for our fellow Albertans. They were assembled and on the road within 2.5 hours of receiving the request.

Lac Ste. Anne County stands in solidarity with the Town of Jasper and Jasper National Park during these challenging times. We commend the bravery and dedication of all firefighters and emergency personnel working tirelessly to protect lives and property.

Our thoughts are with the community of Jasper – as we, along with all Albertans cherish the magic and natural beauty of this national treasure.

LSACFS continues to be vigilant and ready to serve our community while being able to render aid to fellow Albertans.
