Deputy Reeve Nick Gelych has declared June 2 - 8 as Seniors’ Week in honour of the past, present, and future contributions of our seniors.

Our seniors have laid the foundations of our community with their hard work, wisdom, and dedication. This week, we celebrate not just their past achievements, but also their ongoing role in enriching our lives. From volunteering and mentoring to sharing their rich life experiences, our seniors are crucial in making the community vibrant and strong.

Take a moment to thank the seniors in our lives for their contributions. Let’s come together to celebrate their wisdom, experience, and spirit—because every chapter of life adds a verse to the story of who we are as individuals and as a community.

Seniors’ Week in Alberta is an annual celebration held during the first full week of June to honour the significant contributions of seniors to communities throughout the province. In 2025, the week runs from June 2 to 8, featuring a variety of local events and activities across municipalities to recognize and appreciate older Albertans.
