Candy, Conversation, and Community at Heritage Days Parade

Members of Council were pleased to take part in this year’s Heritage Days Parade in Onoway, joining hundreds of residents and visitors for one of the community’s most anticipated summer events.

With County CAO Ann Mitchell behind the wheel and Councillors Mike Derksen and Barry Voltner riding along to greet residents and toss candies. Council was proud to participate in this year’s parade. The event provided a great opportunity to wave to familiar faces, meet new residents, and celebrate the community spirit that makes Onoway and area such a special place to call home.

Events like Onoway Heritage Days provide valuable opportunities for Council members to meet people outside of regular meetings and appointments, hear about what matters most to residents, and build strong relationships within the community in a fun and relaxed setting.

The County extends its thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who came out to celebrate another successful Heritage Days Weekend.
