Other Community-Focused Resources

The County's insurance company allows an option for nonprofit entities to be added to its insurance policy. The core benefit to being added to the County's policy is, in most cases, lower premiums and better coverage.

Lac Ste. Anne County Council approved this group insurance option because community groups and nonprofit organizations bring value, quality of life and services that ratepayers desire.

If you're a non-profit organization operating within Lac Ste. Anne County and are interested in the County's group insurance plan, here's how it works:

  1. Complete the Additional Named Insured (ANI) application form and forward to our office by mail or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  2. We will then forward it to our insurance company to ensure you qualify to be an Additional Named Insured (ANI) under our policy.
  3. If you qualify, our insurance company will provide a quote and we will forward that quote back to your non-profit organization for review.
  4. If your organization is satisfied with the quoted amount, you must then submit a letter of request to County Council requesting you be added under the County’s insurance policy.
  5. The request will then be taken to a Regular County Council meeting for approval
  6. If approved by County Council we will contact your organization to complete the process.

Nonprofit organizations have access to a number of programs to support project and operating costs. Special funding is available for flood relief through the Community Facility Enhancement Program and the Community Initiatives Program.
