The County has a current opening for a proactive, qualified individual to join its Assessment & Taxation Team in the capacity of Property Taxation Administrator.
Under the direction of the Assessment and Taxation Manager, this position is responsible for the property tax department and related duties, including:
Professional correspondence in response to all requests from ratepayers, financial institutions, lawyers, and internal staff.
Overseeing Annual Property Tax and Assessment Notice preparation, including assisting calculation, balancing, and mail-out.
Preparing the annual tax arrears list, pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, including public auction, sale of tax recovery properties, final acquisition, and tax notification processes.
Administering the Property Tax Prepayment Plan.
Creating and distributing reports generated from the tax roll database, as requested.
Maintaining good communication skills and public relations with ratepayers, fellow staff members, County Council, and all other related third parties.
