The County is seeking a motivated couple (or individual with committed personnel support) to join its team as contract caretakers for the Paddle River Dam Campground (“Boat Launch” loop). The facility offers 35 sites — up to ten of which are available for seasonal use).
Caretaker(s) must provide their own holiday trailer and live on-site and be readily available for patron(s) to access for the duration of the camping season specified above. A water/power/sewer site (specified by Administration) will be provided.
Duties include but are not limited to: telephone monitoring (mobile phone provided), fee collection, bookkeeping, reservations, janitorial duties (cleaning supplies provided), grounds and site maintenance (grass cutting included – equipment provided), minor repairs, supervision and enforcement of rules, and checking patrons in/out.
Caretaker(s) will be required to have a valid driver’s license, a current first aid/CPR certificate, and a vehicle suitable for hauling garbage and doing grounds checks. Caretaker(s), as well as any support personnel sub-contracted by the Caretaker(s), must provide a clear criminal record check prior to commencement of the position. Caretaker(s) will also be required to attend safety orientation training.
