County Wants to Hear from Summer Leader Prospects

The Community Services Department is seeking fun and enthusiastic Summer Leaders to deliver our popular summer programs to children and youth, in anticipation that COVID-19 restrictions will allow for such programming this summer. The number of positions and number of work hours will be determined based on what format we are able to deliver our programs.

Please note that should COVID-19 restrictions not allow for day-camps, Summer Leader positions will not be filled this year.

Duties as a Summer Leader may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide input into the planning details for each program including the itinerary, crafts, activities, games, etc.

  • Providing on-site operations and delivery of summer programs, including program set up/clean up, activity delivery, and supervision of participants.

  • Ensure the safety of all participants.

  • Assist with the promotion and evaluation of all programs.

  • Maintain positive relationships with all participants, their parents/guardians, and the public.

This posting will remain open until Friday, April 23.

Interested applicants are asked to submit a resume or application to Community Services Coordinator Taryn Monteith at tmonteith (@)

The County thanks all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
