County Seeks Workers for Home Support Program

The County’s Home Support Program is a light housekeeping service offered to area seniors who qualify, allowing them to remain independent in their own safe, clean, and comfortable homes. This popular program is at capacity, but continues to grow. As such, additional workers are now required to assist Community services in its support of local seniors.

Hours will be determined based on client need which we anticipate will increase as our program continues to expand. It is important to note that work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday (no weekends) during daytime hours. If you feel you would be a great fit, we encourage you to apply today! Positions will remain open until suitable candidates are found.

To submit your resume or for additional information, please contact Community Services Coordinator Taryn Monteith at 780.785.3411 (toll-free 1.866.880.5722) or email tmonteith (@) LSAC.ca.

About the Home Support Program

Lac Ste. Anne County FCSS (Family & Community Support Services) offers a partially subsidized Home Support Program to seniors who reside in Lac Ste. Anne County, and require light housekeeping services. This program, administered by the Community Services Department, is intended to support seniors as they remain independent in their own home by assisting them in keeping a clean and healthy living environment. Services are tailored to client needs through the provision of our professional staff who can offer light housekeeping duties such as dishes, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, light snow shoveling (the doorstep area only, no driveways), light weeding (a flowerpot or two, no gardens), and the like.

FCSS facilitates the matching of a Home Support Worker with senior clients residing in Lac Ste. Anne County, and provides funding to make these home support services available at a subsidized rate.

The program does not offer clients personal care of any kind, such as but not limited to bathing, cooking, shopping, or transporting.
