County Seeks Transfer Station Attendant

​The Utilities department seeks to immediately hire a permanent full-time Transfer Station Attendant. Candidates must be dedicated to the County’s mission to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to each Transfer Station site as required.

About the Position

Tasked with the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Transfer Station, this role is responsible for monitoring residents to ensure disposal of garbage, recyclables and other waste in a safe manner in alignment with County policies.

Duties include overall management of the site during operating hours; scanning solid waste utility cards; collecting refuse and recyclable material; and other related duties. Heavy lifting is involved. Outdoor work will be required.

CSA-approved footwear is a requirement for this role.
