Rural Roots Farmer Showcase


The highly-anticipated Producer Market and Farm to Fork Dinner take place Saturday, August 17 at the George Pegg Botanic Garden in Glenevis.

Make sure to take in this very special family-friendly and food-focused day! Area producers will be representing their farms and showcasing their ultra-fresh products in an open air market at the George Pegg Botanic Garden. This event provides a unique opportunity for food lovers to meet farmers and ranchers who share their passion for quality. Discover a unique variety of exceptional local meat products like beef, pork, chicken, turkey and rabbit.

The market also features farm-fresh eggs, organic garden produce and naturally grown vegetables, fruits, canned goods, and many other delicacies to either eat on-site or take home. Vendors include Hill & Dale Farm; Aspen Acres Market Garden; Blue Ridge Farms; Birch Island Farm; Collette’s Kitchen; Janice Beaton Cheese Partners; Real Bread Alberta; and Culina to Go.

In addition to the market, activities for all ages are planned, including garden tours, a scavenger hunt and much more. This amazing day will take place rain or shine. If you’re passionate about food, this opportunity is not to be missed!
