Illegal Dumping on the Rise

Let’s respect our wild spaces and take collective pride in the County’s appearance and aesthetics. It’s the Alberta proud way.

This summer, Public Works crews are experiencing an unprecedented amount of illegal dumping. Illegal dumping includes anything from household garbage to large appliances and construction materials. Incidents of illegal dumping make it very difficult and strenuous on our Public Works employees, as they have to manually pick these items up and unload them at a Transfer Station.

If you spot an instance of illegal dumping, please call the County administration office at 780.785.3411 (toll-free 1.866.880.5722). Alternately, you can report a concern on the County website at LSAC.ca/Action.

Our Enforcement Officers are cracking down on individuals caught using public land as their personal dumping grounds. Fines can range from $250 to $10,000 depending on the circumstances.

Help keep the County in pristine condition by taking all of your garbage to your local transfer station. Thank you for doing your part to curb illegal dumping in the Lac Ste. Anne region.
