Clubroot Inspection, Fusarium Head Blight Survey and Grasshoper Survey to Begin

Ag Services will inspect all canola fields for visible symptoms of clubroot on canola plants, per Policy 408 – Control of Clubroot Disease. An approximate calendar indicating where and when inspections will occur throughout the County. Please keep in mind this is an approximation; producers will be notified of any major changes to the inspection schedule.

To check approximate dates or get more info on these surveys, call 780.785.3411 or visit LSAC.ca/Agriculture.

Surveys will be conducted for grasshoppers to aid in provincial forecasting. The surveys will take place randomly throughout the county, and only within county ditches or along field edges.

New this year, Ag Services will be surveying approximately 10% of cereal fields for Fusarium Head Blight. The selection of these fields is at random, and is for informational purposes only.
