Corporate & Legislative Services List of Successes

Council accepted the Corporate & Legislative Services (CLS) Successes to Celebrate report. The report highlights the accomplishments of CLS from the past few years. The Community & Protective Services was presented at the last meeting of Council, and the Infrastructure & Planning Successes to Celebrate report is scheduled for presentation in the coming weeks. As they are completed, the Successes to Celebrate reports will be posted to This Section of the County website.

2017 – 2019 Strategic Plan

Council approved the 2017 – 2019 Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan is the document used to communicate the County’s organizational goals, the actions planned to achieve those goals and all of the other critical elements developed during the planning exercise. Sangudo Speedway Lease

Council deferred final decision on the Sangudo Speedway lease agreement to allow Administration to have further discussions with the Sangudo Speedway Society regarding the structure of the lease renewal. The Sangudo Speedway is a family-oriented race track, hosting racing in Sangudo from May to September for more than 25 years.

West End Bus Policy Amendments

Council concurred with the recommendation of the West End Bus Committee on a series of changes to the Bus Usage & Rental Policy. The West End Bus provides subsidized transportation and recreational excursions for seniors in a region that includes the western portion of Lac Ste. Anne County.

For-Profit Privatization of Canada’s Airports

Council made a resolution in support of the National Airlines Council of Canada’s opposition to the federal government’s plans to privatize Canadian airports. More information on the National Airlines Council and the lobby against privatization of airports in Canada can be found on the Airline Council Website.
