Pursuant to the provisions of Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of Lac Ste. Anne County is considering an amendment to Municipal Development Plan 23-2014, by amending the Municipal Development Plan through proposed Bylaw 23-2014-01-2024.

Proposed Amendments include:

  • The allowance of subdivision that would create of 1 or 2 new parcel(s) within the Hamlet Policy Area, which shall not require an Area Structure Plan or Outline Plan.
  • This allowance would be applicable to residential and commercial land uses.
  • The subdivision authority would have the discretion to not require an Area Structure Plan

Addressing County Council

All citizens are welcome to attend Council meetings and take part in the County's democratic process. 

Should you wish to address Council or participate in a discussion item, you must book an appointment through the County's Executive Secretary at least 8 working days prior to the meeting.

Meeting agendas are made available via the County's agenda portal. County Council, Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) and Agricultural Service Board (ASB) meeting minute documents are attached to legacy calendar entries, and are also archived in the Meeting Minutes section of the County website.

The Municipal Government Act states that minutes will be taken without note or comment per Section 208(1)(a). The Chief Administrative Officer must ensure that all minutes of Council meetings are recorded in the English language, without note or comment.
