Public Hearing - Bylaw 22-2017-05-2026

To ensure procedural fairness as per motion #310-2026 made during the August 20, 2026 County Council meeting, a second formal public hearing as required under the Municipal Government Act (Sections 216.4, 606, 633, 640, and 692) will be held to hear formal presentations on the following proposal:  

Lac Ste. Anne County Bylaw 22-2017 is hereby amended in accordance with the attached Bylaw 22-2017-05-2026:

Purpose:

• Redistricting the lands legally described and shown on the map identifying the parcel in Schedule “A” from Agricultural ‘1’  (AG1) District to Aggregate Resource Extraction & Processing (AR) District; 

• Amending Map 5 Region E to reflect the redistricting of the lands legally described and shown in Schedule “B” Aggregate Resource Extraction & Processing (AR) District; 

Should you have any comments or concerns regarding this proposed redistricting application, please submit them to the undersigned by 4:30 p.m. on September 14, 2026.  Alternatively, you may present your comments at the Public Hearing Scheduled for September 24, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the County Administration Office.

Although registering to speak is not required, anyone wishing to present/speak in support of or in opposition to the proposed redistricting application is encouraged to register in advance by contacting Tanya Vanderwell, Senior Planner at 780.785.3411. 

Presentations may be made in person or virtually via Zoom. Individuals wishing to present/speak online should contact Tanya Vanderwell to obtain the direct presenter link.

Speaking times for all presenters, whether participating in person or online, shall be in accordance with the Meeting Procedures Bylaw #09-2026 which provides a maximum of five (5) minutes per speaker.
