14th Annual County Photo Contest
Show off your hobbies for a chance to win

2026 Theme: Hobbies
Get your cameras ready—our popular photo contest is back for its 14th year!
From flower gardens to fishing spots, our region is filled with folks pursuing unique and creative passions. Show us what keeps your hands busy and your mind inspired!
Subject Matter Tip
Capture authentic moments rather than stiff, posed people facing the camera. Show us your hobby in action: the quiet focus at a quilting frame, a wood carving close-up, or an early-morning reflection on your vintage car.

General Contest Overview
Who can enter?
The contest is open to all residents of Lac Ste. Anne County, excluding County employees and elected officials.
Can I submit photos by mail, email, or in person?
No. All entries must be submitted through the official form on this page between September 1 and October 15, 2026.
How many photos can I submit?
Each resident may enter up to five (5) photos. However, an entrant can win only one cash prize per contest, even if multiple submissions place in the top rankings.
What size and resolution do my photos need to be?
Photos must be at least 3000 × 2400 pixels (typically an original file size of 2 MB to 3 MB or larger). Uncompressed photos taken on modern smartphones (12 MP or higher) or digital cameras will easily meet this requirement.
How are contest winners selected?
All qualifying entries will be published in the online gallery on October 19. Public voting runs from October 19 through November 1. After a post-voting audit to verify vote integrity and image specifications, the 13 photos with the most verified public votes will be declared the official winners on November 9.
What does the County plan to do with the winning photos?
Winning entries will be featured in the County’s official 2027 wall calendar, which is printed and made available to residents free of charge (while supplies last) at local municipal offices and facilities. A digital version will also be available for download on the County website.
