Assessment & Taxation

The Assessment department expanded to incorporate the related function of Taxation.  The new Assessment & Taxation department provides improved integration, leading to a better customer experience, and a one stop shop for all matters relating to your tax notice.

Community Services

2016 was a year of considerable change and growth for the Community Services department. As a result, several key milestones were achieved, including FCSS enhancements, renovated recreational facilities and many developments in Agricultural Services.

Economic Development

Promoting Lac Ste. Anne County as a location of choice for people, investment & business, the Economic Development department delivers services and initiatives focused on showcasing the region and helping local businesses prosper.

Finance

The Finance team’s most significant milestone between 2016 and 2017 was the implementation of substantive improvements to the budget process. The 2017 budget process developed a funded multi-year capital infrastructure plan that helps expand our capital perspective to a ten-year outlook, ensuring that the urgencies of today don’t overshadow the long-term needs of the community.

Fire Services

2016 was the busiest year on record for the County's Fire Services department, testing its members on every level. In a year of many critical events and much economic hardship, they persevered.

Health & Safety

In 2016, the County's Joint Work Site Health and Safety Committee was resurrected and reformatted in order to get things tasked and completed for safety.

Information Technology

The Information Technology department made considerable progress in 2016/2017 with several key projects and implementations, from software and systems upgrades to the launch of a new County website and social media program.

Records Management

The Records Management department made considerable progress in 2016/2017 in a number of operational areas, from cemetery management and FOIP training to laserfiche correction.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located at 56521 Range Road 65. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
