Better Choices, Better Health Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshops

These free workshops consist of six two and a half hour sessions for people with chronic conditions who want to gain confidence and learn skills to better manage their health conditions. Support persons may also attend.

This workshop is for you if you or someone you know has a chronic health condition like:

▪ Diabetes

▪ High blood pressure

▪ Chronic pain

▪ High cholesterol

▪ Weight management

▪ Depression or anxiety


This workshop helps you make small steps to take control of your health. You will learn:

▪ Things you can do to fell better

▪ How to manage pain and fatigue

▪ How to manage difficult emotions like anger, fear, and frustration

▪ How to deal with your doctor and the healthcare system and many more topics of discussion


Next available programs: Thursday afternoons September 28- November 2, 2017 at 1:00pm- 3:30pm at the Onoway Public Library (4708 Lac Ste. Anne Trail N.)

Bring a friend or family member with you! PLEASE NOTE: Workshop may be canceled if registration too low.


Knowing how to be healthy is easy. Doing what makes you healthy is hard. Practice the skills you need to make (and keep) a healthy lifestyle.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
