Highway and Bridge Construction Underway

The Public Works department has scheduled a series of highway and bridge consrtruction operations throughout the County between June and late August. Construction activities will include paving, grading, milling and line painting. As a result, traffic will be restricted on affected roadways. Drivers are thanked for their patience during the delays caused by this roadwork.

Affected Locations

This phase of road repairs will affect 13km along Highway 43:20 & 22, and under 1km along Urban Approach Road (UAR) 84. Project limits will be west of Jct. Hwy 33; north of Jct. Hwy 633; and Hwy 43 to the Town of Onoway.

Activity Information

Road repairs will include milled out aged asphalt surface and fill in with new asphalt on the westbound lanes, as well as safety improvements at seven at-grade intersections. 900 metres of Onoway Access road (UAR 84) will be paved under this Contract. As part of the construction, the median cross-over at Onoway Access intersection (UAR 84) will be modified and reconnect east-west traffic through existing underpass adjacent to the CN Rail. New street lighting will be installed and existing lighting will be upgraded to LED for all seven intersections. The contract will include grading, base course, cold milling and paving.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
