Just a quick drive west of the Province of Alberta's capital city, Lac Ste. Anne County welcomes you to a special mix of rural warmth and urban proximity that only we can offer. Your County Councillors

Lac Ste. Anne County Council consists of a Mayor and six Councillors, representing seven municipal divisions. Municipal elections are held every four years on the third Monday in the month of October pursuant to the Municipal Government Act and the Local Authorities Election Act. The last municipal election was held on October 21, 2013.

Public Council meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted. Council welcomes all to attend and observe Council meetings. Those who wish to present information to Council are encouraged to review Section (h [Delegations and Appointments]) of Lac Ste. Anne County Bylaw #17-20.

The Division 4 and 5 Councillor positions are presently vacant.

Please note that taxpayers have access to each and every Councillor, regardless of the division in which they reside. Councillors represent the entire County; not merely their home division. As such, representation of Divisions 4 and 5 continues unabated.

Taxpayers with questions, comments or concerns are encouraged to contact Mayor Bill Hegy as well as any sitting Council Member. Additionally, residents are encouraged to contact the County Manager and Assistant County Manager as needed.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
